About Us

THE FOUNDER

Mary Wardlaw, CDA Professional Development Specialist and founder of Michigan Child Care Training, is a Bachelor of Child Development, a Master of Business Administration and an approved Michigan Great Start to Quality Trainer.  She has been in the field of early childhood for over 25 years and owns The Children's Center, a child care center in Niles, MI (www.NilesKids.Com).  The Children's Center is a 4-star program and a certified Child Care Program of Excellence.  Mary has taught in the early childhood field at Southwestern Michigan College, has written 4 books (available on Amazon.com) related to the child care field and has participated in panel discussions as a child care program of excellence member.

What began as a deep desire to teach her home-schooled daughter early childhood content in a way that was simple, yet passionate and rich so she could enjoy learning and earn her CDA has now blossomed into an amazing career.  Mary now teaches and trains child care center owners, home day care providers and early childhood teachers who are working toward their CDA.
